Same argument. Same wall. Same conversation on repeat, until nobody remembers what you were even arguing about.

You've tried better strategies. Better tactics. And you're still not breaking through.

In this episode of the Breaking Chains Podcast, I'm kicking off a series on capacity, and I'm starting with spiritual capacity, because everything that shows up in your home, your marriage, and your team starts in the spirit first. I define it as your ability to see, hear, receive, and respond to the Spirit of God accurately, especially under pressure.

Capacity isn't about doing more. It's about doing more of the right thing, from the right place.

This Episode Is For You If:

  • You keep hitting the same wall at home or at work, and the same argument keeps coming back around
  • You get triggered, react fast, and say or do things you wish you could take back
  • You've been praying more and reading more, but you walk away feeling no different
  • You take things personally, feel easily offended, and end up fighting the wrong battles
  • You can't tell the difference between waiting on the Lord and hesitating out of fear
  • You're stepping into a new season, a new calling, or a new level of leadership and know you need more capacity to carry it

In This Episode, We Talk About:

  • A simple definition of spiritual capacity, and why it shows up most under pressure
  • What happens when spiritual capacity is low: getting hijacked, getting baited, and making fear-based decisions
  • Why anxiety gets mistaken for intuition, and emotion gets mistaken for truth
  • Why more church, more serving, and longer prayers don't automatically build capacity
  • Building the capacity to see: spiritual sight and discernment as a trained muscle
  • Building the capacity to hear: coming to God without an agenda
  • Building the capacity to receive, and the difference between hearing God and actually obeying
  • Deeper faith, and the law of infusion: why consumption does not equal transformation

Powerful Quotes

"Activity does not equal capacity."

"You don't effort your way here. You surrender and submit and yield your way here."

"What is in you will come out of you."

"Consumption does not equal transformation unless it gets a seed in you."

"There is a difference between knowing about God and knowing God Himself."

When pressure hits, what comes out of you reveals what you've been carrying.

So before you reach for another strategy, ask four questions. Can I see what's actually happening here, beyond who said what and who's right? Can I hear what God is saying, without handing Him my agenda first? Am I willing to receive the answer, even if I don't like it? And what truth do I need to stay in until it starts changing me from the inside out?

The goal was never to become more religious. It's to become more spiritually responsive, so that the Spirit leads, and the mind, the heart, and the body follow.

Next week, we move on to mental capacity.

If you're ready for the support, accountability, and structured pathway to build your capacity as a leader at home and at work, the Rapid Implementation Intensive is coming up. It's a four month deep dive where we cultivate identity, build the vision and the blueprint, and grow in spiritual maturity, discernment, and the language of connection. Request a conversation and let's see if working together is the right fit.
